GW Campus Plan 
IN PERSON + VIRTUAL/ZOOM Community Forum

  • GW is sending 9000+ postcard invites in early July to all mailing addresses in the Foggy Bottom and West End neighborhoods to invite residents to the community briefings noted above which will provide:
    • 1) Summary of feedback received during 2025-26 Academic Year outreach and how this input has guided ongoing planning efforts;
    • 2) Overview of GW's proposed draft framework for its next Campus Plan that reflects shared priorities for growth and partnership with adjacent neighborhoods;
    • 3) Outline upcoming process to further discuss community questions and concerns in summer/fall as this proposal is furthered for submission in late 2026 to the DC Zoning Commission for its review process throughout 2027.

June 16, 2026 - Online briefing for GW Alumni (1:00 p.m.):  Presented in coordination with GW's Division of University Advancement, this update provided GW Alumni with an update on GW's outreach and planning efforts during Academic Year 2025-26, previewed current status of draft framework, outlined additional outreach anticipated in the next academic year.

April 17, 2026 - Briefing for full meeting of GW Faculty Senate (2-4:00 p.m.): This update on campus planning efforts built on a series of meetings with the Faculty Senate's Standing Committee on University and Urban Affairs as well as regular updates to its Standing Committee on Physical Facilities and Campus Safety as well as fall presentations to Standing Committees on Athletics and Recreation and Libraries.   In addition to reviewing the previously shared update, questions and issues from Faculty Senate members were addressed.
